I miss those girls...

Well, I had a blast last night! We were running and playing and just being dogs. Mom found out they both came from the same puppy mill, so they probably never had a chance to have much fun or be real pugs! I really miss them today, even though I'm pooped and have been sleeping most of the day. I was a really good girl for mommy, too. She said so!

Mom took good care of them while they were here. She bought them some toys and got Gracie (6-month old puppy) a collar, because it didn't look like she had one. Well, she did, but she could wiggle out of it easily - and mom didn't like that! She also had to get something for Crissy's eyes, which she was a little stressed about because she didn't know what to get. All the vets offices were closed and they didn't have anything at Petsmart. So, she got some eye stuff for people and used that. I don't know how Crissy did it, but she stayed super still while mom put that stuff in her eyes. I can't do that - not even to get my ears or wrinkles cleaned! Mom said she hoped it made her eyes feel a little bit better. She gave us all a bunch of loving, too. They slept in a crate - mom put a TON of blankets in there. She felt bad doing it, but told me that wherever they go, they might not get to sleep in the people bed like me, and she thought I might get upset. But, she made sure they were comfortable and gave them some towels for pillows.

Mom here! These girls were so great... and I truly miss them. They were easy to take care of and played together, even though Crissy had limited vision. She did pretty well getting around. Little Gracie followed me everywhere and would sit at my feet when her legs/hips got too tired. But she was running and playing with Sitka all night, so I know she HAD to be tired!! I dropped them off this morning, and they are almost to their temporary foster in CT. Those girls deserve the best home ever.

Not sure what to think...

Well, if you read my blog very often you know that my mommy tries to help animals whenever she can. She does all kinds of stuff... well, she did before she started going to that school thing. But she used to drive transports, set-up transports for dogs she never even met, post for dogs that needed a home or someone to come save them... and she used to work with a pit bull rescue. It got to be too much for her, I guess.

So, she said she got an email thingy yesterday about a transport and some dogs needing somewhere to stay overnight, because it's such a LONG trip. Well, guess what? There's two girl pugs on it - and they needed a place to stay. So, I guess we'll have some puggy company tomorrow night. Mom asked me to be a good girl and help her with them. Their names are Chrissy and Gracie; one of them is blind and one of them has some hip problems, so she'll have her hands full. I guess she'll have to carry them outside to go potty, but she said she doesn't mind. If they didn't have a place to stay, they wouldn't be able to get to a safe place. Mom would DIE if that happened!

I'll see if I can get her to post some pictures of them on my blog tomorrow or the next day. And I'm really going to try to be a really good girl. I'm not used to having other dogs in the house... and I get upset about my food and stuff, but mom says she can handle that and feed us all separately if she has to.

Well...

It wasn't so bad without mom & dad. They let me stay with Auntie Rebecca and Uncle Andrew and they took great care of me. In fact on the first night, Uncle Andrew laid down with me until I fell asleep, because I was whining and missing my humans. They hung out with me and took me for all kinds of walks. I still wish I coulda gone to New York, but it ended up being fun and not such a big deal.

Mommy got to see her first Broadway Musical - The Little Mermaid. She said it was so wonderful and she was so excited to have been able to see it in NYC. Then, this summer they're going to see The Lion King at the Kennedy Center. Mom can't wait for that one either! It's another one of her fave Disney movies - yeah, Mom's a big kid at heart.

New York!

Guess what?!? Mom & Dad are going to New York... and they are NOT taking me with them! I've been there before, so that's OK. But they're actually going somewhere without ME! They're going to leave me in good hands - Auntie Rebecca and Uncle Andrew - but without ME?!? What's a pug to do????

All these poor doggies...

So, me & mom were looking at pugs on Petfinder tonight. She says if there's any pugs in a shelter, they're usually picked up by a rescue really fast, but she still likes to check just in case. Not that we can add to the zoo here, but if there's one that needs saving, she'll get to it. Yes, I started it... and she does the same thing with pit bulls, and any other dog that grabs at her heart, which is most of them.

So, back to the whole point of my story. She says she looks at me, and how cute I am (of course), and can't understand why people dump their dogs in shelters, or don't take care of them, let them run loose, starve or beat them... she just don't get it. So, for those reading my little blog among all the other tons of blogs, if you have a pet, love on it and take care of it, please? And if for some reason you can't take care of that pet anymore, try to find a rescue to take him/her. The chance of them making it out of a shelter alive are very slim, even if YOU think someone will adopt it pretty fast. Just don't work that way...

I'm going to hang out with my momma...

So...

Me & mom were just looking through my blog here... and I noticed there's a couple of photos of me eating ice cream. So, do you think I like the stuff? In fact, dad brought some ice cream to mom tonight. Did I get any? NO! But, mom said it had chocolate in it... very bad for doggies. I can't wait until it gets warm - I'll get more ice cream then! Yummy!

So, mom is still really busy with work, photo stuff and school. She always studies, but she likes school and wants to do really good. She sometimes takes a break and hangs out with me. In fact, it's bath day tomorrow. I'm still not sure how to feel about the bath thing. Mom says I'm a good girl because I stay still, and then when I'm done and mom dries me off, I run around the house like a crazy dog for about 20 minutes. I guess I kinda like 'em. I got into a trash bag the other day... it had lots of stuff from the fireplace in it, so I got a little sooty. Mom called me Pug-A-Soot. Daddy left it out, so he got in some trouble, too. Oops!

My granny is coming up next month to visit - YAY!! I love to see my granny! She always brings me new socks to play with. Sometimes she even brings me yummy treats. The BEST stuff!!

Well, not much else going on in my pug world. It's been cold and snowy lately, so I can't go outside much. Actually, I'm not a cold kinda girl. Hot, either.

Wow! I've been a BAD Pug!

I haven't posted in a really lllooooooonnnggg time! It's kinda hard to do that sometimes, when my mom has to help me. She's been so busy lately, then the howlidays came up and she's been working and going to school... and she always manages to take time to hang out with me! That's the BEST part!

So, let me tell everyone this first:




I also hope everyone had a VERY Merry Christmas. I got to go with mom & dad to see the grannies. I had lots of fun and got some great toys and treats!

I went to see my new vet the other day. Mom's happy about that, since she had been wanting to switch my vet for a long time. She didn't like the other (too expensive) that much. But, our fave vet there left and went somewhere else. Enough said!! Our new vet is less expensive and closer to the house, too. Daddy took me to get an ice cream after we got done, so he took a photo of me!! Mom says it's her absolute favorite picture...

A Puppy in Need of Help

Well, if you've been reading my blog for long, then you know that mommy LOVES animals... and she has a big soft spot for pugs and pit bulls.

Well, not too long ago, mommy read a story about 5 pit bull puppies in Detroit. Witnesses saw some teens take these puppies into an abandoned house, then later run out as the house was on fire. All the puppies were found hog tied... and only one survived. They named her Miracle and she has severe burns all over her body. Mommy says if ANY breed can fight this and win, it's a pit bull. And us dogs? Well, we're the most forgiving breed, too. I know mommy prays for Miracle every day and hopes they catch the sick children who did this. She asks "why" all the time and wonders who would teach kids that something like this is OK.... I wonder about that, too.

Anyway, if you want to read about Miracle, you can go HERE. There's pictures of her there, as well as a link to the original video story. There's also a petition to get Justice for Miracle. PETA has also gotten involved and offered a reward to help find these monsters. Mommy isn't a big fan of PETA, but she says they sometimes do good.

Wow - we've been busy! Mom & Dad FINALLY came home! It felt like they were gone forever... I missed them SSSOOOOO much. For a few days after they came back, I was always afraid when they were leaving the house. I was afraid they'd be gone a really long time again. But, I'm glad they got a vacation together. They needed it.

So, we've just been hanging out together a whole lot... I'm loving it. Dad's gotta go out of town again, but mom ain't going nowhere without me! She already said so!

Mom will post a new photo of me soon. I just wanted to write something while mom had some time to help me. =)

It's me again! I hope everyone is having great last of summer days! Personally, I'm ready for it to cool down a bit... it's really hard to breathe when it's so hot outside. My nostrils just aren't that big and I get overheated pretty easy, so fall time is MY time! Mommy likes to watch this thing on TV she calls football. You should see her, jumping up and down, yelling at the TV - she looks like a crazy woman! And she always yells "Go Vols"... whatever that means.

Mommy and Daddy are leaving next week for their big trip. Mommy's been talking in some weird language I don't understand at all - but I don't understand much of what her or Daddy say most of the time! My Granny is coming up here to stay with me. I'm so excited to see her! I'm sure going to miss mommy and daddy really bad, though. Probably mommy more, but don't tell Daddy that! I don't think he reads my blog anymore since he came home, which is a good thing!

Not much else going on in my pug world right now. Be sure to hug your fur kids, because they love you.

Hi Everyone!

Wow... mom's been bad about helping me post on this thing. We've been having a lot of fun hanging out with Daddy, though, so we have a great reason, I think. It's SO NICE to have him back home. Mom & Dad still fight about who's pug I really am... Daddy says I'm his dog and I love him most of all. But, I love them both so very much!! And I know they love me...

I've been on a diet recently, but not a good one. Mom feeds me natural food with green beans (it's pretty yummy, actually) and it's supposed to work, but it's not. Mom thinks it's the cat poop. Hey - I'm not saying a thing.

Mom & Dad are going to Paris in September and I can't go with them. =( It's the first trip they've ever taken together without me. My Granny Davis is coming to stay with me, though, so I'll be well-cared for.

I promise to get momma to help me with this thing more. If only I could type better, but short and stubby pug legs aren't good for keyboards.

An amazing dog...

Daddy's on his way HOME!!

YAY!! I know I haven't written in a long time, but Momma has to help me and she's been a bit busy lately. Ok... really busy. She always spends time with me, though, and that's all I care about.

I can't wait until Daddy gets here!! ONE WEEK TO GO!! He's not going to be happy with me, though. I've gained LOTS of weight while he's been gone... and momma doesn't know what to do. She's put me on an all natural diet, including green beans, which isn't too bad. I love all food, though. I think it's because I eat too much darn cat poop. But I love that stuff!! YUMMY!! Hopefully I can get my girlish figure back - whatever that means. I know it would make Momma very happy.

My granny has been here visiting with me. She's going to help momma while she recovers from sinus surgery. I know momma is probably gonna look pretty funny with strings hanging out her nose!

Well, that's all I know. Not much going on in the Pug world right now - just waiting for daddy. Here's a new photo of me!!

Wow! I haven't posted in a LONG time... sheesh! Where does the time go?

Momma's been pretty busy lately. She got a new job as a photographer, so she's pretty happy. I'm back to being in my kennel all day, but mom gets home a lot earlier than she used to, so it's not as bad. She leaves me out when she's only gone for a few hours, so she makes up for it. She thinks I'll eat cat poop all day. I don't know why she would think that!

Daddy is still in Afghanistan. I sure do miss him, but every time he calls, he says hi to me, so I feel a lot better.

Me & Momma are going on a diet. She says I'm a little pudgy. One time the vet said I was losing my girlish figure. Do pugs have that? Hmmm.... Anyway, she's going to put me on some type of all natural diet, or something like that. I don't care - I LOVE food and I know Momma will feed me good stuff. Yummy! I'm getting hungry again!!
